M221A (made by Schoeps for Telefunken) and 5 ea. All are wired for 200 ohms (black dot). The original power supplies were years ago discarded due to failing (and dangerous) electrolytics and general instability and noise. In the 1950s voltage stabilizers were pretty crude. With this set of microphones comes a custom built patch-panel-cum-power-supply, designed and built by a skilled electronics engineer.
Several units have been built for studios and provide a significant noise reduction compared to the original PSUs. The originals were also notorious for blowing out the tube filaments after a while. The power supply has a soft start and applies anode voltage only when the mic tubes are fully heated. Voltage tolerances are well below 1% and electrical noise is app.The patch panel/PSU has 18 channels, 8 of which accommodate the tube mics or normal XLR mics. The remaining channels are for XLR mics and a simple feed-through. Outputs are balanced stereo jacks.
These microphones all are in perfect and working condition. Numbered 5-meter microphone cables, 6-pole DIN female to 5-pole male XLR. Numbered 5-meter patch cables, balanced ¼ jack to 3. Power supply cord, EU standard.
Patch pabel/power supply, 230VAC app. 12W (external step-up transformer is required for 115V).
Regulator tube is 6BM8/ECL82 available from many sources. The regulator tube is brand new and life expectancy is at least 15-20 years since there is no significant load on it. All the mics come in their original cases. The item "Set of 8 Neumann Telefunken vintage Microphones ea M221A ea KM56" is in sale since Sunday, May 29, 2016.
