Up for sale is a cloned Marshall 2204 tube guitar amplifier. Lean and mean with plenty of power to spare. 50+ watts with a pair JJ EL34s and trio of JJ 12AX7s.
Head shell is surf green and white. Faceplate is gold anodized aluminum and blank. This amp features hand wired, top shelf assembly with a thick aluminum chassis, custom engraved aluminum faceplate, G10 turret board, polyester coupling caps and metal film resistors.
Transformers are American made by Classictone. The circuit itself is relatively close to a stock 2204, but has mild mods included.
Gone is the useless low sensitivity input and the overall circuit layout has been revamped. The power supply is beefier and makes the amp noticeably punchier. The first gain stage has been tweaked for slightly more saturation with slightly more gain in later stages. Literally compared next to a real vintage 2204, this amp is punchier and more growly, but still cleans up well with guitar volume knob rolled back. This amp is perfect if you've always wanted a master volume Marshall, but didn't have the heart to mod an original and destroy its value.
