Late 70s Fender Princeton Reverb Guitar Amp Original Silverface Hand Wired
This late 70's silverface Princeton is one of the last of the real hand wired Fender reverb amps. Cosmetically the amp is in great condition. No major snags or marks to be found. Note the last photo, the amp is missing one of the four gliders. The amp works and sounds terrific. Speaker is a newer jensen c10q that is not original to the amp, but sounds quite good. Tremolo has good depth and sounds lush and musical. The reverb works and sounds great, though it doesn't get as wet as some other fender reverb amps I've heard. Where some will exceed a wet over dry reverb mix, this one seems closer to 50/50 when reverb pot is at max. The power transformer and reverb driver transformer date to 1978, the output transformer dates to 1980.
All iron is "606" Schumacher made. Amp comes loaded with mostly vintage tubes including a pair of Delco branded 6v6 power tubes.
All pots are smooth and quiet. Note: This amp comes without a footswitch. Probably the best ratio of tone and power to portability you can find. If you have any questions about this amp, feel free to ask.
