2 the pickups (originally'57 classics) have been upgraded with the awesome Gibson. 4 Original strap buttons are gone replaced with Schaller locking buttons (additional locking parts that go on the strap included).
5 the stock wiring harness was replaced with a 2016 Historic harness (pots and Gibson repro Bumble bee caps). Unfortunately the soldering iron hit one of the caps melting the plastic a little, but still fully functional (see pic). 6 Nut was upgraded to a bone nut (stock nut included). The neck finish had worn through and has been overplayed with a nice nitro, the overspray has worn through in a couple of spots now yes this guitar was played!
Also it had a Bigsby at one time, so you can see the extra screw holes in the top and the end for that. It also had a floating tailpiece like on an arch top...
Interesting sound so there are extra holes for that on the end as well (see pic). Also it had Grover tuners, then it was converted back to the stock tuners, with the headstock holes doweled and re drilled. A little bit of muss from that on the headstock, see pic. Some worming on the back (see pic) and lots of dings especially around the tailpiece from removing the stock studs, D'oh!But the case is in good structural shape, several dings but nothing major at all, no smoke or any other kind of stink! The original steal me logo was taken off with rubbing alcohol but it is the original historic black case with burgundy interior that came with the guitar. Thank you for looking, it's a very nice guitar and I'm hoping it'll go to a good player who maybe can't afford a new Historic, but doesn't mind a player grade Les Paul. Despite all the minor issues, it is structurally fine and is a good sounding guitar. Fret wear is pretty minor, some but not needing any work. Also I do have the certificate of authenticity for this guitar... Contact me for additional pics if you need! Search Youtube for'Fat Toad Memorial Day' to hear this guitar in action! I also should add that I don't have the original parts anymore (pickups, etc). The guitar will come with the original paperwork (reprint of vintage instructions, etc). That came with the guitar. Also some clarification on the harness, the pots/caps, that whole assembly in the cavity there is from a 2016 Standard Historic Les Paul.
