It was made in 2010. There have been no alterations or modifications to the guitar. The guitar is in exellent condition with minimal playing wear.
It's never been gigged or played outside my house. The frets show no significant wear I have a light touch. Other than the pu covers, there is no sign of use. There are no dings or other marks I can see; there are some reflections and dust particles that show in some of the photos. The pickups are the Gibson'57 classics; very open and clear sounding.
They are certainly not high gain pu's. This is a nice open sounding 335 that does take well to pedals. The neck carve is called the'slim line profile' as per Gibson. To my hands, it's a great feel, not too fat and not too skinny, and certainly not like the later'pencil neck' 335's Gibson made in the 1960's. The neck is pretty much the standard Gibson carve to my hands. The pickguard is the longer type associated with 335's from 1958- 1960.
I personally like it because I do a lot of fingerpicking and hybrid picking, and my little finger is less apt to snag the back edge of the guard while playing. You can google the guitar or check at the Gibson website (under discontinued guitars) for all the details on this instrument. In summary, this is a very lovely guitar and a great player in near mint condition; I never say'mint' because there may be micro marks or pick marks that my old eyes have missed. No issues, and it's the nicest 335 I have ever owned, and I have owned several. Let's have some fun..... Don't bother with lowball offers; they will be ignored. Thank you for your interest.
