1959 5F2-A Fender Tweed Princeton Amplifier. An extremely clean and mostly original narrow panel tweed amp from Fenders most desirable era. This 5F2-A Princeton is from March 1959 & delivers wonderful tone.It has the larger late 1950's cabinet with dedicated on/off switch and tone control. This amp is mostly original with the exception of an aged replacement back panel, and power transformer rewound to 240V (with 3 prong power cord for safety).
The previous owner had the original speaker reconed in the USA by Ted Weber to original specifications. It also has a very rare New Old Stock Victoria Luggage Co. No hum and breaks up nicely. Would make a fine recording or practice amp for blues or classic rock. The original tweed shows only light wear. The tube chart is in pristine shape and fully intact. Nice shiny chassis and faceplate and intact lettering. A well preserved piece of Fender & music history that you can enjoy as a player and owner. Note: Its 240V and wired with Australian Power Plug. A very rare amplifier in Australia in this condition. (May be open to trades for similar value vintage amps or guitars). Note this amp is also for sale elsewhere so listing may be cancelled at any time.
