For your consideration is this awesome 1983 Gibson Les Paul Studio husk in natural finish. 1983 was the first year of the Les Paul Studio and this husk features an alder body composition with mahog neck. However, one of the four back pieces looks like it might have some birds-eye maple in it.Looks like a four-piece back and top. This husk is in great pre-owned condition.
There are plenty of small dings and an occasional small chip here and there. Back has lots of worming but nothing that breaks the finish.Neck is straight and true. Frets are small, which is true to the era. There is some very light divoting on the first several frets but it's very minor. Truss rod works just as it should. There is some light chipping around one of the tuner holes which will be invisible once a tuner is installed. Neck measures 43.15 mm at the nut; and 54.32 mm at the 16th fret.
It is 20.46 mm thick at the first fret; and 24.59 mm thick at the 12th fret. This husk weighs 6 lbs.
