1968 Fender Telecaster Bass in excellent overall condition. It plays great and sounds exactly how a vintage Fender bass should sound. There are zero issues and everything works perfectly. Everything on this bass is original, including all electronics, but the original Blonde finish has been resprayed Black and the bridge cover has been replaced with a vintage period correct bridge cover. This features the single-piece maple neck and skunk stripe, as opposed to many that have a maple fingerboard cap and no skunk stripe.
It weighs just 9.79 pounds and has a 1.745 nut width. The neck thickness measures 0.928" at the 1st fret and 0.981" at the 12th fret. The body has typical scuffs and light scratches throughout, mostly around the corner edges, giving it a truly authentic vintage vibe. The neck is in outstanding condition with no noticeable wear to mention.
The neck is straight and the truss rod works. The frets have tons of life left and have just been polished. The headstock is in very good condition and has some very tiny numbers etched in the back above the tuners.
The neck plate has some faint lettering etched into it. All electronics are original and work perfectly. All solder joints look untouched. The lower thumb-rest is missing. Includes a non-original hardshell case in good working condition. The Telecaster Bass rolled out in 1968 as essentially a reissue of the original Precision Bass from the early'50s. Years of Production: 1968 - 1979 Unique to this Year: First year of Telecaster Bass production.
