1956 Selmer Mark VI tenor sax (64000 serial number range) with two necks the older neck is in the 100,000 serial number range & a newer neck which doesn't have a serial number, a Selmer Soloist C, a Brilhart Personaline mouthpiece, a Selmer mouthpiece cap, a Selmer ligature, a basic ligature and a two-tone hard shell case. The sax is in good to very good condition for it's age. There are several dents in the bow of the bell and a few in the bell area itself, but for these it is about dent free. The finish is a golden brown.
The horn could have an older re-lacquer job. The lacquer has worn completely away in some areas from the mouthpipe socket to about a 1/4 to a 1/3 down the body of the instrument. Also, we believe the older lacquer may have been polished or taken off (at least to some degree). The keys show lacquer wear as well. The horn will need to be repadded. The item "1956 Selmer Mark VI tenor sax" is in sale since Wednesday, June 29, 2016.
