A prewar Martin stamped R-18 inside the bass side F-hole with serial number 669XX. Sunburst Finish, V shaped neck profile, Mahogany back and sides, Newer bridge, Trapeze tailpiece, and a big booming tone. The guitar has a comfortable low archtop action still with adjustment room in either direction on the bridge.
The guitar displays nick, dings and play wear. There is one top crack coming down from the bass side f-hole, two small back cracks, and a very old puncture repair on the treble side of the guitar with some finish touch up. There is some overspray on the back of the neck but no headstock cracks or repairs. A set of newer open back Gotoh tuners have been fitted for better tuning.
I suspect that the guitar has most likely had a typical and expected neck set many years ago. The guitar appears to have its original frets that display some wear but are playable.
The guitar has a big large tone with great bass response. The guitar came to me in a 1970/80s Epiphone chip board case and will be well packed.
