National-Dopyera Guitar Company contracted with Regal and other manufacturers in the early 30s right through 1934 when Dopyera re-organized to form Valco. This instrument shows some appointments consistent with a Regal headstock. The Dobro decal is worn off or was removed. The instrument was owned and played by a Blues guitarist out of Sarasota, Florida until his death in the late 1990s.I have owned it since then. The instrument retains all original parts and finish, but for the decal. Top, back, sides and neck are mahogany. Significant finish checking with a few scratches on back.
Play wear is noticeable on the neck and fretboard. Carter's Vintage Instruments performed the setup and can authenticate originality. Comes with a hardshell case. The item "1932-34 Dobro with Tricone Resonator" is in sale since Friday, August 2, 2019.
